D Magazine runs as a woman-owned business in Dallas that uses their platform to bring together extraordinary women across Dallas. On August 29, 2024, the Celebrating Women of Influence event was held to bring together female leaders for networking and an innovative panel to converse about challenges facing women today. This was also highlighted in the September 2024 issue through a special advertising section that displayed many women-owned businesses and leaders.
This event required a cohesive creative direction from editorial to the event marketing materials. Through artistic review, we brought a lively yet sophisticated approach with photography, texture, and shapes combined. More importantly the artistic approach was matched with the panel discussion, "How Women’s Voices Change the Conversation," to highlight the power of women’s perspectives in the business world by one conversation.

Advertising Opener
We began by establishing an overall look & feel for the editorial special advertising section opener. This opener would set the tone for the rest of the marketing materials. We approached this look with a patterned and simple expressive collage. This allowed the project to showcase the exact imagery we wanted to use in this topic that showcases women in leadership.
Event Promotion Materials
We moved along with the imagery of hands to continue being a prominent language through-out the marketing materials to allow the speaker assets to shine. This emphasized the event name and topic for this year.
Speaker Headshots
A key piece to the marketing materials that we wanted to establish early on were the speakers. Our creative strategy was to showcase the speakers in a way that amplified who they are and what they do in a bold & cohesive way. This way it would be seamless process regardless of the size or orientation of the headshot.
At The Event
On August 29, the Celebrating Women of Influence 2024 event was finally here. With our marketing materials being more bold, we moved forward in a more simple and sophisticated strategy for the signage materials while still remaining consistent. The primary accent signs being only the welcome and slide show signs.
Think Pink
We were consciously aware of the fact that pink is the most commonly associated with being a woman. We used this to our advantage and instead of shying away from it, we embraced the pink. This brought out the topic of the event and showcased women being bold in the spaces that they take up.
